Access
Ishikawa Prefecture can be easily accessed by Shinkansen from Tokyo and Tsuruga in southern Fukui Prefecture. There are also limited express trains run from Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya, stopping at Tsuruga before connecting to the Shinkansen heading toward Ishikawa. The gateway to Ishikawa Prefecture is the capital, Kanazawa. There are two airports in the prefecture: Komatsu Airport and Noto Satoyama Airport. It is convenient to use Komatsu Airport for transportation to Kanazawa.

Komatsu Airport is a mid-sized international airport in the city of Komatsu, about 40 minutes by bus from Kanazawa.
