Welcome to JSMRM 2016

JSMRM 2016, the 44th annual meeting of the Japanese Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine will be held at Omiya (north to Tokyo, 30 min train from Tokyo downtown), Saitama prefecture on September 9, 2016 (Friday) to 11 (Sunday) .

The theme of the meeting is " MRI Now and Beyond ". We intended to explore the prospects for the current understanding and the future of MRI. In recent years, MR technology and medicine further accelerate the pace of its progress, that the three-day meeting may not be able to accommodate the whole contents. This meeting will be the 44th, however, in the first annual meeting 1981, we assume it was hard to imagine the present prosperity of MR medicine.

JSMRM, known as the "MR Society Japan" is a very unique society. All professions who are involved in MR medicine, including researchers of basic science, manufacturing engineers, MR equipment developers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, clinical radiological technologists and physicians, will attend. The numbers of membership also became close to 4000.

JSMRM 2016 will further promote the internationalization. A lot of presentation format will be set to English, and we will start a general abstract recruiting from abroad. Joint Symposium with KSMRM (Korean Society of Magnetic resonance in Medicine) became annual exchange event from last year. And we will further call researchers internationally, including Asian countries, and hope to have lively debate.

So, we'll see you in Omiya in September.
