Notice about Another Postponement of the 15th Japan-Korea Congress of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

In light of the global surge of cases of COVID-19, the organizers of the 15th Japan-Korea Congress of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery have decided, in consultation with our Korean partners, to again postpone the Congress by one year to 2022.

We have been diligently preparing for this event and were looking forward to welcoming you to Kitakyushu. However, with another spike in COVID-19 infections, it has become effectively impossible for our Korean colleagues to travel to Japan. Although we explored the possibility of holding the meeting online, both myself and the organizers of the Congress have arrived at this decision in consultation with the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons after considering the main purpose of this Congress, which is the opportunity for plastic surgeons in Korea and Japan to interact with one another.
We would like to sincerely apologize to the surgeons and co-sponsors who had planned to attend the Congress and those who had been requested to deliver lectures for any inconvenience this decision may cause. We will be in contact with you individually about refund policies for participation and sponsorship fees. Thank you for your patience.

We are currently coordinating with our Korean partners to set the new date for the Congress, which we are looking to hold sometime around February 2022. We will make an announcement as soon as dates are fixed. We would like to thank you for your continued support.

Lastly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our colleagues who have helped us with the organization of the 15th Japan-Korea Congress of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, to those who were prepared to present their research results at the Congress, and to all the co-sponsors and organizations that have provided their support.

第15回日韓形成外科学会の開催延期について

　この度、全世界での新型コロナウイルス感染症の流行状況を鑑み、韓国側と相談の上、かねてより準備を進めておりました第15回日韓形成外科学会の開催を1年延期することに決定しました。

　皆様を北九州の地にお迎えすることを心より楽しみにしてこれまで鋭意準備を進めてまいりました。しかし、コロナウイルスの流行が再拡大する中、韓国の先生方の来日が事実上困難となりました。Webによる開催などを模索しましたが、本会の最大の趣旨である日韓の形成外科医の交流ということを鑑み、第15回日韓形成外科学会会長以下主催者は、韓国形成外科学会と協議の末、この決断に至りました。
　本会へ参加予定の先生方、協賛企業の皆様方、またご講演をお願いしておりました先生方におかれましては、大変なご迷惑をおかけすることを深くお詫び申し上げます。参加費や協賛費の返金対応につきましては、個別にご案内させていただきますので、今しばらくのご寛容を頂ければ幸いです。

　なお、延期の期日につきましては、2022年2月頃の開催をめざして韓国側との調整を行っております。日程が確定しましたら、改めてお知らせさせていただきます。今後ともお力添えの程、何卒よろしくお願い申し上げます。

　最後に、第15回日韓形成外科学会の開催にあたり多大なるご協力を頂きました先生方、本会で研究成果をご発表すべくご準備いただいた先生方、また協賛企業・関係団体の皆様方には心より御礼申し上げます。
