Travel Grant (for Asian countries)
The Japanese Cancer Association (JCA) and the Organizing Committee of the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association will be offering the following grant to participants who will be presenting at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA. This grant is intended to defray the cost of attending the meeting and will be offered to participants whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation. The accommodation fee (up to 4 nights from September 20 to September 23 at the designated hotel) will also be covered by the Organizing Committee.
If a winner cannot attend the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association for any reason, the benefits will not be carried over to the 83rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Society.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be the first author of the submitted abstract and must present the paper at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA.
- The applicant must be under the age of 45 years old as of the deadline of abstract submission.
- The Sister Hirose Travel Award which is meant for researchers from Asian countries is mainly subjected to researchers from Low Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to attend conferences.
Application and Selection Process
Award recipients will be selected at the discretion of the Program Committee based upon the novelty, quality and significance of the submitted abstract.
Travel Grant Application Procedure
Step 1: Abstract submission

You are permitted to submit only one abstract as the first author for this meeting.
Step 2: Required documents
Travel Grant applicants must submit a CV with the list of publications for the last 5 years.
Please submit it at the same time when you submit your abstract.
Step 3: Registration
Online registration is mandatory to apply for the travel grant.
Enter your information at the URL below and complete the online registration process within the early registration period (From June 6-July 24(JST)).
The registration fee will not be refunded.
If you fail to make online registration by the deadline, your application for Travel Grant will be automatically withdrawn (no exception).
Notification
Award recipients will receive a notification via e-mail with detailed information by late July. Funds will be provided to the award recipients at the conference venue.
Benefits to Travel Grant Awardees at the 79th,80th, and the 81st Annual Meeting of the JCA
JCA and the Organizing Committee of the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA will be offering the following benefit to Travel Grant Awardees at the 79th,80th, and the 81st Annual Meeting of the JCA, who could not come to the Conference in the past three years because of COVID-19 pandemic and will participate in the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA.

Exemption of participation fee for the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA
Support for the travel and accommodation fee (Up to JPY 70,000)
These benefits are valid only at the 82nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Society. There is no carryover to the 83rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association.
Condition for receipt
Travel Grant Awardees at the 79th,80th, and the 81stAnnual Meeting of the JCA are not able to receive above benefits in case they apply for the Travel Grant at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA.
They should participate in the 82nd Annual Meeting of the JCA in person and they must be the first authors of the submitted abstract and must present the paper at the JCA's 82nd Annual Meeting.
Funds will be provided to them at the conference venue.
They should consent to the above condition in reply for official invitation sent by e-mail from the Congress Secretariat by the end of May.
