We will welcome you with solo violin performance by Manami Ito.
In 2004, a year after entering nursing school, Ms. Ito was involved in a traffic accident that resulted in the amputation of her right arm, and she received occupational therapy and began making a prosthetic arm at Hyogo Prefectural Central Rehabilitation Hospital. She competed in swimming at the Beijing Paralympics (2008), the Asian Paralympics (2010), and the London Paralympics (2012). Currently, she is caring her three children while giving lectures and performing as a violinist with a prosthetic arm.
Welcome Party
Enjoy time to relax, network with colleagues from around the world and introduce yourself to the wider occupational therapy community at the Congress Welcome Party. Conveniently located within the congress venue. Light food and beverages will be provided.
Tickets for the Welcome Party are included in your registration if you purchase a Full Congress Registration or Day Registration for 6 November 2024.

Japanese Culture Experience (Tea Ceremony)
On November 7, participants and their companions will have a chance to experience Japanese tea ceremony with the cooperation of a volunteer organization in Sapporo City. 3 sessions (20-30 minutes per session) will be offered, so please register for the time slot of your choice. On the day of the event, the instructor will explain about the tea ceremony and you will see the process of making green tea. Afterwards, participants will enjoy matcha green tea and Japanese sweets.
In addition to the tea ceremony experience, there will also be a variety of other Japanese cultural experience events planned at the venue during the congress.
