Dr Chong is dual specialist-accredited with the Ministry of Health (Singapore) in Anaesthesiology (2008) and Intensive Care Medicine (2013). Presently senior consultant with the Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National Healthcare Group (Singapore), his subspecialty interest is in neurocritical care and neuroanaesthesia, for which he completed a clinical fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada under the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan Award. Dr Chong heads the Neuroanaesthesia Service in the Department. His other educational roles include Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU-Imperial College) adjunct assistant professor and assistant lead for Pharmacology, and senior clinical lecturer with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (National University of Singapore),. Dr Chong has research publications in Canadian Journal of Anaesthesia, Journal of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology, Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, and Pituitary. In addition, he has been an invited speaker at various conferences including World Congress of Anaesthesiologists, Asian Society of Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care Conference, SG-Dukes Aanesthesia Conference and at the national Anaesthesia society meetings of various Asian countries.
