Session Title: Advanced Multimodal Imaging: What can we learn from different imaging modalities?
Session Summary:Optical microscopy has low resolution but allows live-cell imaging. Electron microscopy has high resolution but kills cells. Collectively combining live-cell imaging method with other techniques has dramatically improved our understanding of the relationship between cell structure and function. Many developments are underway to challenge integrating a variety of conflicting imaging modalities. This session will introduce the latest development results and experimental results by up-and-coming researchers in this field, to discuss the usefulness and problems of the present correlative imaging methods.
