Introduction of the reconstituted cell-free protein synthesis system, the PURE system, for synthetic biology research

Since the reconstituted cell-free protein synthesis system, the PURE system, was reported by Shimizu et al. in 2001, it has become an important tool not only for protein synthesis but also for basic research and synthetic biology. This session will provide an overview of the PURE system, the history of its improvement, and examples of its use, leading up to the session on "Synthetic Biology and Constructive Biology" scheduled for the same day.
