Digital Bioassay Laboratory in Univ. Tokyo

Digital bioassay is a newly emerged method of bioassay that allows the detection and quantification of target biomolecules at a single-molecule sensitivity. In view of the rapid emergence of this research field, we established the Social Cooperation Research laboratory in Univ. Tokyo, entitled 'Digital Bioassay Laboratory' with the support of TOPPAN Holdings Inc. In this BP seminar presentation, we will introduce the aim and activities of Digital Bioassay Laboratory with review on history of digital bioassays and perspective about next-generation digital bioassays. In addition, the guest speaker, Prof. Yuyama will introduce an excellent application of digital bioassay for the highly sensitive detection of an Alzheimer’s disease marker.
